GWiB’s Founder

Lora, originally from Chicago, IL, has lived in Golden, CO for over 10 years. She became the owner of Altitude Events and Marketing in June 2012. She strives to help local businesses and non-profits grow their customer base, and become highly visible in the community, by offering event services.

To keep fit, healthy, relax and seek clarity, Lora adores the mountains. Mountain biking, climbing, hiking and skiing are at the top of the list. Her love of helping others, has created a wonderful community of small business owners, whose positive attitudes and energy keep women connecting, dreaming and succeeding in their business goals.

While organizing events such as fundraisers, grand openings and cocktail parties, she soon determined that a Golden networking group was needed.

She founded Golden Women in Business in October 2012. This fast-growing group had their first Expo at The Golden Hotel in April, 2013 and it was a hit! Golden Women in Business (GWiB) snowballed and another Expo event was planned for October 2013 at The Buffalo Rose. That also was a fantastic event and four more Expos at Golden venues – The American Mountaineering Center and Table Mountain Inn - followed shortly.

Lora handed over day to day management of GWiB to the new board in 2017, but she will always be GWiB’s founder – Thank you Lora for starting this fantastic group.
