Continuous learning and growth through reading & discussion

GWiB’s Book Club helps you explore new perspectives. It is a great place for book lovers and those wanting to grow in their knowledge and understanding of a diverse set of topics. We meet for an hour or so every four to six weeks to discuss a specific non-fiction book. The books chosen are generally about personal or professional development.

If you don’t have a chance to read the book, no problem. You can join us and listen in!If you would like to dive more deeply into personal and business development while spending quality time with like-minded women, the GWiB Book Club is your place!

For women who wish to thrive in business and friendship!

GWiB’s informal Happy Hours are social gatherings that focus on networking and community connections. We are on this journey together, so let’s have fun while we are at it! Happy Hours are generally in the late afternoon at local, women-owned businesses throughout Golden and feature a sponsor GWiB member each month. Happy Hours may be free, or food and beverage can be purchased from a discounted menu if at a restaurant.

Join us to gather, connect and strengthen our community!

Would you like to host a Happy Hour in the future? Alejandra Iberico L.

A place to share the good, the bad and the ugly in a 20 min. spotlight

GWiB’s very popular Table Talks provide an intimate place to sit around a table and learn about each woman’s business. It’s like we’ll help you pack this backpack for your journey. The format is casual with three women hosting the event by providing snacks and drinks as well as the opportunity to present their business in a “show & tell” format. Each woman who attends is given the chance to introduce themselves and their business.

The intention is for women to have time to share the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of their business. We appreciate Connects Workspace for letting us use their venue for the meetings.

Contact Liz Lautrup to get on the schedule of future Table Talks.

PUMPS

Sell to your heart’s content

GWiB’s PUMPs—Pop-up Market Places—are vibrant venues where women entrepreneurs can showcase and sell their unique products. These bustling markets invite the public to explore and purchase a variety of tangible items, creating a dynamic shopping experience for all! We usually have PUMPs around the gift-giving season (Christmas, Mother’s Day) or combined with other events (Health & Wellness Expos, Farmer’s Markets).

Contact Lora Engesser if you would like to get a booth.

GWIB Circles

Talk to people from your industry

GWiB Circles are offered to members who want to network with other GWiB members in the same industry. The GWiB Circles are various industry
specific groups of women who meet regularly to build relationships and share information. The Circles are industry specific – meaning that the
members of each Circle work in the same or similar industry. If you desire to attend a Circle, please first reach out to the Circle Leader for that
particular circle to ensure that your business/employment falls within the circle industry. If you desire to create a circle, please reach out to Board Member Liz Lautrup and she will point you in the right direction! The current Circles can be found on our event page.

Contact Liz Lautrup if you have questions.

GWIB Circles

GWiB’s Alternative Health & Healing Arts Circle

The circle aims to provide a supportive space for practitioners to engage in open dialogue. As practitioners in the alternative health and healing arts, we work on various levels and need to safeguard and preserve our energy while holding space for others. During our meetings,

  • The circle is a platform for sharing our experiences beyond our job titles and promoting collaboration.

  • We focus on refining our ability to articulate our work, such as through crafting an "elevator pitch."

  • We serve as referral sources for each other.

  • We welcome both established practitioners, individuals looking to start businesses in the field, and those interested in the topic.
If you have questions about this circle, please contact Cyndi Stewart.

GWiB’s Artists Circle

Whether you are a skilled artist with a thriving business or a creator looking to monetize your talents, we welcome you to join our Golden Women in Business Artists Circle.
